RegistrationProcedure

The application for registration requires prospective members to complete the Quick Evaluation form (see below) and attach the required documents.

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is an academic procedure of evaluation by which a candidate may gain academic credits towards an accredited qualification/outcomes based on informal and non-formal learning and work experience.

In this case the RPL would provide recommendations from a RPL panel to gain membership registration at the professional body.

Some candidates have sufficient RPL credits, but others may need to do additional work. Should the panel find the informal learning and work experience needed to be augmented by doing a short training course in counselling, this could complete the RPL process to gain enough credits to be eligible for ASCHP registration.
